Zara started off as a small family business in Spain, but quickly gained traction to now become a multi-national brand with booming success. Read along to learn more about the company and how they reached to where they are now!
A few products from Zara's website are featured above.
What is Zara?
Zara is one of the world's most successful fashion retail brands, if not the most successful one. With its dramatic introduction of the concept of "fast fashion" retail since it was founded in 1975 in Spain, Zara aspires to create responsible passion for fashion amongst all customers. Essentially, they wish to provide all customers with the same styles and quality as designer, high-fashion places, for a fraction of the cost.
The Zara brand offers men and women's clothing, children's clothing (with Zara Kids), shoes, accessories, beauty, and more.
Is Zara Legit?
Many view Zara with weary eyes because of its stark differences to normal store-chains, however, despite its somewhat edgy appearance, I am pleased to say that yes, this company is quite legit.
While I have never personally bought from the brand, I've heard many great success stories from happy customers that were in love with the pieces they were able to find from Zara. Now, I will be taking you through specific elements of the brand, including their website and shipping procedures, and how they manage to stay ahead of competitors all the time.
Affordability, Quality, and Accessibility:
For a company that wishes to provide high-fashion styles for a fraction of the cost, Zara does an amazing job at promising and delivering just that to customers. After perusing the website and its different markets, it's safe to say that you can definitely find some great pieces ranging from $15 to $45, which is great considering the quality that Zara provides. However, like I always say, check the sale section first, and items as cheap as $7 can be found! As for the company's quality, after seeing some of their items myself, I believe that Zara's quality will last you a long time.
As for variety, there's a wide range of styles that are featured on the site. From business casual to athletic wear to even children's clothes, Zara has it covered. And the best part is, you can find it all in the same place!
Above are some products from Zara that showcase their wide range of style!
One thing I will say about Zara, however, is that their website is quite hard to navigate. As they try to fulfill their avant garde look, they play with the sizing of items on the website's screen, which rather than impressing customers, simply confuses them. For example, the font sizing is extremely small, forcing you to squint or zoom in each time you want to read an item's name or looking at its price. The layout of products as you scroll through a particular category is also difficult to see, as Zara plays with colors and leaves quite a few blank areas in random places, making many customers think that the website is glitching when they're using it. I personally found it extremely hard to navigate, and found myself lost at times, as Zara doesn't even have a home page to come back to. However, this doesn't seem to matter to most customers, as they continue going back to Zara and purchasing, despite this minor difficulty.
Zara's Secret:
Now, the moment you've been waiting for: why Zara is as successful as it is. There are many factors that have contributed to the success of Zara, but one of its key strengths, which has played a strong role in it becoming a global fashion powerhouse as it is today, is the ability to put customers first. Zara is obsessed with its customers, and they have defined them as the brand's culture since the very beginning. From offering great deals to new customers, to asking for their feedback after each launch, their products are extremely tailored to their customer's needs, which is impressive, as this is difficult to do for any large brand.
Zara is also known for having four core values: beauty, clarity, functionality, and sustainability. These four factors are the secret behind Zara's ability to keep up with rapidly changing fashion trends and showcase it in its collections with very little delay. Teams of employees monitor the latest styles and trends and are able to create new designs and put them in stores in less than a month. In stark comparison, most other fashion brands would take close to six months to get newer designs and collections into the market, and for a much higher price than what Zara offers consumers.
Final Review:
Overall, I would give this company a 7/10. While the most noticeable con of this company is the difficulty of navigating its website, Zara's dedication to keeping customers happy is something that's hard to look away from when choosing a store to shop at. Most of their items are pretty affordable and the quality of items seems to be durable and long-lasting. The site also offers a wide variety of styles to choose from, so I'd give this company the green light.
If you have any experiences with the company that you'd like to share, I'd love to hear them in the comments below. Thank's for reading!
The format of this blog flowed very well and was easy to read. Although I am not the biggest fan of fashion and didn't know Zara until now, I really like how you were able to portray the company's values through this blog. Zara is a clothing brand that is cheap but stylish. I like how you were also able to critique the website and give an honest assessment because it showed to me, the reader, that you aren't biased and that Zara is not above criticism. Next time that I need some clothes, I am gonna have to check out Zara.
I thought this was a really well-written blog! I have heard of Zara but didn't know its origins, so that was very interesting to read about. I also thought it was cool how Zara sticks to four core values, and if I were to shop there I would feel confidant they would put me, as the customer, first. Loved your blog, and now I'll have to start looking into Zara clothing!
I loved the tone and format of your blog! It was very interesting to read the origin of Zara and how the store is now. I liked how you included your own review of the store based on several different factors, it really gives me a good perspective that I can use when deciding where to shop. Overall, I really enjoyed reading your blog!
